Cisco CCNP ENCOR 350-401 (v1.2) is the new exam effective 03/19/2026. Cisco CCNP Enterprise Core (ENCOR) also serves as the qualifying written test for the CCIE lab.
Interestingly, CCNA certification is no longer a prerequisite to take your CCNP certification. Cisco CCNA is recommended however, unless you have significant experience. Cisco has added performance-based labs to all CCNP exams.

There is a significant amount of theory on CCNP ENCOR exam with keywords such as describe, explain and interpret often used in the syllabus. CCNP configuration topics include routing protocols, STP, security and network assurance. Interestingly, there is only troubleshooting of trunking and EtherChannel interfaces.
Cisco has removed all wireless topics from the new exam and moved then to wireless specialty certification. Wireless security (802.1X, PSK, WebAuth, EAPOL) have also been removed.
